This program is a service. This is a solution for all of you who have missed out on your favorite horses and also being able to take your time in choosing the right horse.  You have unlimited time to choose a horse with many available.  Working with a company you can trust.  TBSH has the best of quality Thoroughbred horses come into our program from very good trainers.

By entering into the Pre-order Deposit service program you will  have best placement of choice of all new horses that are suitable for your future.   This service program works closely with you in custom finding you the right match.

 The $2868 - Service price will be used and come off  the  price as a deposit towards the horse that is chosen. 

To enter is $2868.00 . You will be able to get started in pre-ordering your next horse.
 

You will have unlimited timeline in choosing a horse.

Horses are not held after Photo(s) . 

 TBSH reserves all rights to determine suitability of each sale.

TBSH works in good faith in helping you find the best match.

TBSH allows appointments for this program. (Depending on Covid restrictions).

All our programs: where we transition and train and rehab(if needed )Thoroughbred horses either after racing or after track training.  

All these horses are evaluated.  We also start many of them over fences.

 

We have many sound Thoroughbred horses in this program.  We also have some who need some TLC.  They are athletes and sometimes do get injured.  Most of them can go on to new careers with no limitations.   Our staff at TBSH are not veterinarians.  We only know what the race trainers inform us of.  Although it is not required, we do encourage vet inspections.

ADDITIONAL TRANSITIONAL OTTB TRAINING

We offer additional Transitional training.  This program has been very successful in that you are not getting a TB who just came from the race track.  We work on basic flat work, start them over  small fences.  We teach them controllability to and from the jump.  We work on lead changes.  We also keep it a happy environment and every training session we keep non stressful .   We are very careful from building anxiety in the TB.  We work with their individual personality and get to know them better.  The Fee for the riding training program is: $1950 monthly ($65) a day.

We love every TB horse that has come through our program and we feel they are all worth a million dollars.  They give so much and have the biggest heart.  Although, we do find many of them homes for way less than they are worth due for the need for homes.

APPOINTMENTS/VISITATIONS

We do offer appointments for our Pre-order service deposit Program participants.

We do require a $100 appointment fee for each appointment.  

After you have fill out our  Buyer Inquiry Application Form.   Then if approved, we will have you fill out the Pre-order deposit form and submit. 

 We welcome you to come and view the horse of interest. Riding is not available due to liability. Because TBSH is not a lesson barn, we do not have our participants in a lesson program with training and do not know their abilities. These are not lesson horses and TBSH cannot take the risk.

But, we would like to meet you if you would like to make the trip.

JOCKEY CLUB TB PAPERS
WE DO NOT HAVE  RACING PAPERS FOR THESE  THOROUGHBRED.   WE DO NOT PROVIDE RACING PAPERS OR RACING ACCOUNTS TO PROTECT THE THOROUGHBRED.

The Jockey club no longer issues Racing papers.  They issue a digital certificate which is an online account with the race horse owner.   The race owner is called the Certificate manager.   They can transfer ownership of the horse for only the purpose of racing.

They also do not lip tatoo anymore.  They digital tatoo on the neck.  

 

THEY ARE ALL MICROCHIPPED EITHER BY THE JOCKEY CLUB OR TBSH.

TO ASSURE THAT THESE HORSES WILL NEVER BE RACED AGAIN ,THIS IS NOT PROVIDED. 

 

THE JC RACING  PAPERS LEGALLY BELONG TO THE JOCKEY CLUB. WHEN A THOROUGHBRED IS FINISHED RACING THEY ARE USUALLY THEN RETURNED TO THE JOCKEY CLUB AND ARE TRANSFERRED OUT OF RACING BREED.

FOR YOUNGER HORSES:  THE JOCKEY CLUB DOES NOT ISSUE PAPERS.  ALL HORSES ARE REGISTERED NOW ELECTRONICALLY WITH A CERTIFICATE MANAGER.  THIS IS TO PROTECT THE TB HORSE FROM BEING RACED.

 

 

 

VETTING POLICIES

Vetting horses is reserved only for Pre-order deposit participants.

If you choose to have a horse vetted, you can fill out the Vetting form listed in our Purchase arrangement page.

  "NO FIELD VET CHECKS AT TBSH" All Vet Exams are to be done at one of many Equine Hospitals in Central Ky.  

​

All Vet Examinations are performed at one of the Equine Hospitals in Lexington Kentucky.  

 TBSH wants the highest in professionalism with vetting horses for our clients along with the safety of our horses.

Upon completion of the vet exam,  an immediate decision to purchase  must be made.  The horse will not be held past the day of the exam.

We do not Allow any of our horses to go out on trial

1. We can not continue to show the horse.
2. It is a liability both Physical and Mental.
We work very hard with each of these horses and we put many days and hours into them.  We can not take a chance on them coming back with bad training or becoming harmed.

 

Price Range

Although we offer these horses at a very reasonable price,.  
The stud fees on these horses can range from 20k to 175k.  These horses were already valued and sold at yearling sales from 30k  to 1 million dollars and sometimes more.   These horses are of extreme blood lines and have had quality training since a year old.   
We have so many amazing horses ready to start our program. We have been able to transition and re-home way over 100 TB horses each year.

  The estimated value of these horses range from 10k to 30k.

We always look for the loving homes.  TBSH horses Range from $3000 up to $9500.  We at times have exceptions where they may be more.
                             
 

Customer Care Department

We have a very organized Customer service Department.

Even thorough you own the TB horse after purchased,  we will try and help you if possible.

 

 

SHIPPING

All shipping  costs and board is paid by the buyer(New owner).

We require all horses once purchased to be transported  at least one day before pickup, to Blackstone farm layover.  From our training facility by Bob Hubbard horse transport or TBSH to be boarded at Blackstone Farm in Lexington KY until shipped to your location.  Blackstone Farm layover. (pickup location).  

We will help you make further shipping arrangements if necessary.  We have a wide range of shippers that we work with and trust. 

You are welcome to pickup at Blackstone farm and ship your new horse.
